We seek a greater Love that surpasses understanding, drawing our circles of compassion ever wider. This faith has called us to be a presence in the struggle for the liberation of gender diverse people and those who find love with the same sex, yet for all our efforts the levers of power across the land seem poised to take us back to a sadder time. For allies and those who would carry such a title, how may we harness our compassion, our convictions, and our own inner fire to show up on the side of Love? For our LGBTQ+ family, how will we tend to our own hearts? How may we direct our compassion inward to tend the wounds left by a callous and small-hearted legislature? Let us seek a way forward together this Sunday at 2nd Unitarian.
