We often speak of ministry as just a thing that ministers do, those ordained folks with their flashy clothes and fancy degrees, but everyone has a ministry of some sort.
Whether that is a ministry of time, a ministry of talent, or a ministry of treasure, a ministry is fundamentally about our calling to be of service to others and meeting the demands of Love. Sometimes ministry doesn’t look like “doing” anything. Sometimes it’s just knowing how to love folks on their worst day. This Sunday, we will explore the spiritual practice of waiting with the worried, deep listening in despair, and the still, small sense that may illuminate the sublime power of simple acts of Love.
