Orcas, Chimps, Bees, Naked Mole Rats, what do these wildly divergent creatures have in common? They are all examples of eusocial animals: beings which maximize thriving through mutual dependence and social networks. We are also such a creature, born to be and to become together. This Sunday, let us celebrate the primal heart of community, exploring Eusociality as both a scientific concept and the spiritual ground which makes us most human while celebrating the growth of our own community in our new member ceremony!
