R.E. Changes Ahead: An “Enriching our Sundays” Experiment

As we approach the start of the fall session, Religious Growth and Learning would like to start communicating some upcoming changes we’ve been working on for awhile to our Sunday Religious Education for our children.

One of the biggest changes that you will see is hour-long RE. Based on feedback from teachers, students, parents, and surveying the curricula, we are going to try starting Sunday school at the beginning of service. The pluses include getting thru the lessons (almost all curricula is written for an hour time slot), to include meditative closings and helping clean up (acting on principle 7). It will also give us time to work on projects that will be shared during the intergenerational services.

Please contact Molly Kliment-Jenkins to further discuss the changes.

We will also be available to answer questions during the RE picnic on Saturday, August 23, from 6 – 9 p.m.
