Litha, Summer Solstice Celebration

Join us on June 23rd at 6:00 pm at 2nd Unitarian to celebrate Litha – the beginning of Summer.

Litha, also known as Midsummer, occurs on June 21st which is the peak of the sun’s power and warmth. Celtic legend describes this change of season as a battle between light and dark. In this battle, the Oak King (who represents daylight-who rules from Yule until Litha) and the Holly King (who represents Litha-who rules from Litha to Yule) battle for control.

You are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for a more comfortable experience outdoors. Indoor activity planned.
