“We declare that every person is inherently worthy and has the right to flourish with dignity, love, and compassion.”

So we affirm in our sacred value of Equity. Such a star calls for more than mere acceptance and inclusion, but declares that all people have the right to flourish; to thrive with the fullness of their character and the dignity of their humanity.

In a time when we are too often told that we are too much, in a moment when the anxiety of the age may lead us to stay small, this value of Equity calls us to create conditions, in the heart and in the world, where all can flourish.

This Sunday, let us explore our ultimate origins and untangle some of the hangups that keep us feeling small as we seek to answer the call of Equity that would see all people shining bright.
