Every month, Second Unitarian shares 1/2 of our offering with a local non-profit. This July and August our Share the Plate partner is Civic Nebraska.

Nebraskans count on CIVIC NEBRASKA to guide them on the path to a more modern, robust democracy, and we take on this duty by empowering connection, building understanding, and cultivating advocacy. Civic Nebraska is a nonprofit that takes a three-pronged approach toward its mission: Youth Civic Leadership, through school programs and Leadership clubs; Civic Health programs that connect people to one another and other institutions to solve local problems: and Voting Rights Initiatives, working to defeat bad policies that threaten the right to vote And advocating for measures that protect our rights.
