Join us at 9 a.m. is Sunday, September 8th at the church or by zoom for a First Hour discussion with Bob Burns, executive director of the Omaha Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind, Second Unitarian’s Share the Plate partner for September and October.
This organization works to advance equality, opportunity and security for the blind by engaging the government regarding the impact of legislation, ordinances and additional rule-making actions, as well as offer resources and support for the newly blind. Bob, who has been legally blind for almost 50 years, earned a Juris Doctor from UNL and since 1989 he’s worked in his private practice of Burns & Porter Associates, an estate and financial planning office in Omaha. He will be discussing his organization’s good work and answering questions. We hope you can join us! Here is the Zoom link.
