Collection for neighbors in need

As part of our Religious Education program we are collecting for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Threshold CoC Street Outreach has reported a recent large spike in families living in their cars. The family shelters are consistently full, so the Outreach Team has had a difficult time meeting these families’ needs, especially since this increase compounds an ongoing rise in chronic homelessness among all populations. As winter approaches, we’re asking for your help in gathering warm weather supplies to help our neighbors in need. There is a box under the coat rack in the church lobby where you can place new or used blankets, sleeping bags, winter coats, winter hats, gloves, mittens, or scarves. Your help and kindness are greatly appreciated!

Threshold CoC coordinates the collective response to housing justice for Douglas, Sarpy, and Pottawattamie Counties.
