Every month Second Unitarian donates half of our offering to a local non-profit. Our partner for September and October is the Malcolm X Foundation. Their mission is focused on preserving the human rights legacy of Malcolm X (El Hajj Malik El Shabazz) while prioritizing self-reliance & determination through radical movement building.

The Malcolm X Foundation frequently exercise this effort in the following ways: Preserving the Grounds of the 17-acre historic birth site; Educate about Malcolm through our workshops, tours and outreach; Activate Leadership for the individual through trainings and civic engagement; Celebrate Black Heritage through cultural programming and special events; and Empower our community through equitable initiatives and engagement.
