The Thanksgiving Dinner tradition at Second Unitarian is returning after 2 years of absence due to Covid. It will be on Saturday, November 19th at 6 p.m. The Board of Trustees consulted with our member, Dr. Nancy Vander Sluis, and the following is her recommendation:
There is a ton of stuff out there: the new BQ.1 variant of Covid, flu, RSV, enterovirus, to name a few. Given that I have advised to proceed with the event, I offer the following cautions –
- Anyone who is ill or coughing should stay home
- I encourage everyone to wear a mask except to eat/drink to protect themselves and others
- Remind everyone to use their own best judgement about attending as someone may well come down with something after attending
Please bring a salad, vegetable, or dessert that can serve 12. The Fellowship committee will provide the turkey and drinks. We will need lots of help to make this event happen. If you can help set up and decorate tables, please be at the church at 5:00pm.
