Our Share the Plate recipient for March through June is the Food Bank for the Heartland, as they are in need of monetary donations. They are also accepting food but stated in a World Herald article that money is more helpful at this point. The Food Bank can better stretch a dollar than a regular consumer can. One dollar can provide 3 individual meals! In April Second Unitarian donated $375!

There are many in Omaha that suffer from food scarcity on a normal day, and this problem has exploded with the disruption caused by the virus.

Please give generously to 2U’s Share the Plate offering to support the Food Bank for the Heartland and our church. Our plan is to keep the Food Bank for the Heartland as our recipient until the end of June.

Since 2011 we have donated half our offering each Sunday to charitable organizations.
