Every month Second Unitarian donates one half of our offering to a local non-profit organization. Our July and August Share the plate recipient is Habitat for Humanity of Omaha. Since 1984, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha has partnered with more than 1,425 families in our community to help address their housing issues through homeownership, repairs and community building activities. Did you know that your gift provides a ‘hand up not a hand out’ to hardworking families right here in our community? Your support will help provide safe, decent homes for low-income families who purchase them at the full appraised value and complete up to 350 hours of Sweat Equity to make their dream of homeownership a reality.
