This wonderful curriculum from the UUA addresses a need many members of UU congregations have: a need to reckon with their religious upbringings and to integrate those upbringings into their current religious lives. Owning Your Religious Past includes activities and discussions that help Unitarian Universalists grow in their faith and move from any discomfort and awkwardness to a space of affirmation and wholeness. The program’s exercises invite participants to revisit religious spaces and people from childhood in an honest and ultimately positive way that promotes greater self-understanding and personal peace.
This curriculum will be offered on Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on October 24th, 31st, November 7th, 14th, and 21st. This class is limited to Second Unitarian members only, and to a maximum of 8 people. It is important to attend all classes as they build on one another. YOU MUST REGISTER with Cyndi Simpson to attend, and please let her know if you will need childcare when you register: revsimpson@2uomaha.org.
