Positive Survey Results for NUU Way Capital Campaign

We offer a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the planning survey for the NUU Way Capital Campaign. The Campaign is to fund the construction of two gender-inclusive, fully-accessible bathrooms on the sanctuary level and to rebuild our parking lot, with construction to be completed next summer (2019).

Based on the information gathered, we would like to share some of the survey’s key observations with you:

  • Eighty-four percent of our respondents fully support our building project as a way of reaching our congregational dream of being a multigenerational, multicultural, vibrant congregation! John Knape, our campaign consultant, says that successful campaigns usually need a support rate of 70%, and we are well above that!
  • Eighty-two percent of you fully support holding a capital campaign as one way to fund the building project.
  • Eighty-seven percent of respondents said that you would donate to the capital campaign if asked. Your estimates of what you could donate were very generous!

Given these results, the Board of Trustees and the Property Improvement Team recommend to the congregation that we move forward with a three-year capital campaign.

The Board and the Team are planning for the NUU Way Capital Campaign, and you will be able to hear of these plans at a Town Hall meeting on October 14th and vote on them at a congregational meeting on November 4th. Please mark your calendars for these meetings to be held right after worship!
