September Service Learning Project

Help Second Unitarian feed the Heartland for our September Service Learning Project!

On Sunday, September 21, we will participate in the largest spaghetti feed in the world!

Join us as we try to break the world record while raising funds and awareness for the Heartland Food Bank. We have signed up our congregation to help at South High School where there was a high need for volunteers. We have twenty spots reserved for members age 10 and over (if your children are younger, they can assist but cannot be given an independent task).

Please join us on this important day! The shifts are 2.5 hours long between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., and include cleaning, serving, taking tickets, etc. For more information, visit  wearethepowerofone.org. Contact Jaime Short or Molly Kliment-Jenkins to volunteer. If you’re after a specific job or a time outside of the 9:30-1 p.m. window, feel free to register yourself on the site.

Let’s make this a success for Omaha and for 2U!
