Second Circle Teen Movie July 20

After a couple months hiatus, we are gathering youth going into 7th grade on up to watch a movie and discuss it over pizza.

This month’s movie, October Sky, will be shown in the sanctuary on Sunday, July 20, at 4:30 p.m.

The follow-up discussion will be led by Bob Fischbach, movie reviewer for the Omaha World-Herald (and discussion leader extraordinaire).  Interested parents are welcome to attend.   Snacks and drinks are provided and a free will donation is accepted for pizza.

Plot Summary for October Sky In a 1950’s mining town called Coalwood, Homer Hickam is a kid with only one future in sight, to work in the local coal mine like his father. However in October 1957, everything changes when the first artificial satellite, Sputnik goes into orbit and inspires Homer to learn how to make rockets.
