Retirees’ Group meets Tuesday, January 14, at 1:00 p.m. to view a 76-minute DVD, “Two Who Dared.”
In February, 1939, Waitstill and Martha Sharp left for Czechoslovakia on a dangerous mission to save imperiled human lives. What drove this young Unitarian minister and his wife, from Wellesley, Massachusetts, to put the well being of strangers over that of themselves and their family?
Drawing on recorded interviews, letters and unpublished memoirs, as well as first person refugee accounts, “Two Who Dared” chronicles the Sharps’ remarkable journey. This timeless story reveals a heartfelt lesson of sacrifice and faith to be shared with future generations.
All are welcome!
