One half of Second Unitarian’s offering received in August will go to No More Empty Pots.
No More Empty Pots is a grassroots non-profit corporation connecting individuals and groups to improve self-sufficiency of local urban and rural communities. Their vision is to support communities in becoming self-sufficient and food secure through collaboration, education, stewardship, and sustainability.
Located in North Omaha, the organization is working to develop wholesome, locally-sourced, and sustainable food and food systems to what has been characterized as the “food desert” of much of Omaha.
