Since 2011 we have donated half our offering each Sunday to social justice agencies. We call this Share the Plate! We do this to further partnerships and effect change in the greater Omaha community.

December Share the Plate: The Stephen Center

One half of Second Unitarian’s offering received in December will go to the Stephen Center. The Stephen Center partners with the community, families and individuals to overcome homelessness, addiction and poverty. Find out more at: stephencenter.org  

November Share the Plate: Food Bank for the Heartland

One half of Second Unitarian’s offering received in November will go to Food Bank for the Heartland. Food Bank for the Heartland distributes food to 530 food pantries, schools, emergency shelters and other nonprofit partners. September Share the Plate: Compassion in Action

August Share the Plate: Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance

One half of 2U’s offering collected in August will go to the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA). IMA is dedicated to improving the lives of Omahans and, more specifically, minority populations especially in north Omaha.
