First Hour is Sunday, September 13th

Join us this Sunday for First Hour at 9 a.m. to learn more about the National Federation of the Blind, Omaha chapter, our September and October share the plate partner.

Leah Johnson, an affiliate NFB board member and second vice president of the Omaha chapter will join us. Leah served as the Self-Advocate member on Sheltering Tree’s Board of Directors where she was the “voice” of those residents. Additionally, she’s active with many hobbies and interests. She reads books of various genres, loves games of all types, and is an avid podcast listener. And she travels extensively!

The NFB is devoted to helping blind individuals reach their full potential. It helps blind residents of Nebraska obtain information about jobs and other training opportunities as well as assist them in finding solutions to problems encountered in everyday life. It also works to ensure equality for all visually impaired residents of Nebraska. First Hour is a hybrid event, feel free to join us in person at the church or by Zoom.
