For over 30 years, Second Unitarian has been an active & proud member of Omaha Together One Community (OTOC).
In the last year, OTOC leaders have been active in living out our values through the work of:
- Building the Nebraska Alliance for Thriving Communities, a coalition of 70+ businesses & community organizations across NE working together for positive Immigration Solutions;
- Conducting a Candidate Accountability Session where 11 candidates for Nebraska Legislature and US Congress committed to the OTOC agenda in front of 400 OTOC leaders;
- Organizing Nebraskans to adopt Initiative 436, creating Paid Sick Leave for all Nebraska workers;
- Collaborating with partners to organize a Rapid Response Team to assist immigrant families facing deportation;
- Organizing an Interfaith Prayer Vigil responding to an Immigration & Customs Enforcement raid in Omaha.
