UU General Assembly is how congregations get together to worship, meet one another, learn about issues that congregations are actively supporting or opposing, and vote on business that impacts all congregations. Several key votes are held before GA officially starts – this year, June 21st.
“Actions of Immediate Witness” are voted early. AIWs are issues that are so important they must be addressed quickly rather than the usual process of 3 years of study and feedback by local congregations. Our delegates (Cheri Cody, Vicki Pratt, Alex Rost) participated in this year’s selection.
