The Safety Task Force II held its first meeting this past weekend. The first meeting was introductory in scope. We are still looking for a couple more members – especially people with medical or scientific backgrounds – and we generated a list of several names. We have reviewed some of the return-to-building plans put out by other congregations and noted some similarities and differences in size and situation with our own congregation. We also reviewed a list of projected costs (provided by the Bagel Bin Boys) involved in implementing the findings of the original Safety Task Force. The list certainly gives us a starting point for examining costs, and we appreciate contributions of ideas from interested parties. Wisdom shared from the Beloved Community is something we will consider whenever appropriate or useful. We expect to meet twice a month for now, and will adjust the frequency of our meetings as needed.
