Ware Lecture – Rescheduled for Sunday, March 10th from 2 to 4 p.m.
the Board of Trustees
Are you ready to start waking up to the problem of Racism and White Supremacy?
Within our congregation and beyond?
The Second Unitarian Board of Trustees invites you to join them March 10th from 2 to 4 p.m. for a viewing and discussion of the 2018 Ware Lecture at the UUA General Assembly, which was given by Brittany Packnett, an educator, activist and voice leading the charge to change the dynamics of our society’s painful past and present.
Her stirring lecture is an eye-opening, challenging and important work in the direction of understanding how racism and white supremacy continues to pervade our lives. Following the viewing in the church sanctuary will be a discussion led by Rev. Cyndi Simpson.
We are asking those to attend to consider bringing a snack to share. We hope to see you there for this important discussion that will begin our congregation’s anti-racism efforts!
