Please join the TUUsday Circle on Tuesday, November 12th (the day after Veterans Day) at 1 p.m. for a very special presentation by UNO Professor Sachin Pawaskar, Ph.D., MBA, MS.
The identification of missing prisoners of war is a complex and time-consuming task, with thousands of missing service members whose remains have yet to be returned to their families and loved ones. This is what led to CoRA, The Commingled Remains Analytics Ecosystem.
CoRA has streamlined the way forensic anthropologists sort through skeletal data and identify missing service members. Through improved management for inventorying and analyzing human remains, CoRA allows anthropologists to work more cohesively and with less chance of data loss or corruption.
During his talk, Dr. Pawaskar tells a story of how this technology helps in the identification and segregation of bones, helping our nation to fulfill its promise to soldiers and their families.
