Sunday, May 17, at 4:30 p.m., our Second Circle Teen Movie will be the Martin Scorsese film Kundun.
In Tibetan, Kundun means The Presence; The Dalai Lama.
This biopic is about the current Dalai Lama. He was forced to escape from his native home, Tibet, when communist China invaded and enforced an oppressive regime upon his peaceful nation. The Dalai Lama escaped to India in 1959 and has been living in exile in Dharamsala ever since.
Please join for snacks, pizza (freewill donation accepted) and a discussion led by Bob Fischbach, movie reviewer from the Omaha World-Herald.
We meet on the third Sunday of every month and have one more meeting before we take a break in the summer, our last movie is Gandhi.
