Every month Second Unitarian donates half of our offering to a local non-profit. Our  Share the Plate partner for January and February is The Nebraska Journalism Trust. The Nebraska Journalism Trust ‘s flagship publication, the Flatwater Free Press (FFP), is Nebraska’ first independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan news outlet. The FFP produces stories with depth and impact for Nebraskans from all walks of life, from the Panhandle to the Missouri River. The Trust is also the parent company for Silicon Prairie News, which reports on entrepreneurs, investors and innovators shaping Nebraska’s economy, and Nebraska Documenters, a program that trains and pays citizen journalists to attend and report on underreported local government meetings.
