If you are not familiar with Side with Love, it is the organizing strategy team of the Unitarian Universalist Association. As they state “We harness the power of love to confront oppression and build a world where all people can thrive. Through organizing, leadership development, political education, and collective action, we equip Unitarian Universalists and aligned communities to take spiritually grounded, justice-driven action in this decisive moment.”
This is the umbrella for work with many initiatives, including UU the Vote, Side with Love’s flagship democracy campaign. Below are a few resources and webinars to check out:

Many Unitarians already engage in the good work of supporting democracy and free and fair elections, including canvasing, gathering petition signatures, poll work and more. These actions also support being a Good Trouble Congregation. Check out the many ways you can engage in the democratic process and help 2U be a Good Trouble Congregation for 2026. You may also want to see what 2U congregants accomplished in 2024 to become a Good Trouble Congregation. Finally, you can submit your good work via this online form: UU the Vote Activity & Action Reporting Form.
Attending the September 20th Candidate Accountability Session at First United Methodist Church in Omaha is also an important way to engage and support democracy, so Save the Date! (You can read more about this further down in the enews.)
