Candidate Accountability Session
Sunday, September 20th 2 to 4 p.m.
First United Methodist – 7020 Cass Street.
Our congregation is a member of OTOC: Omaha Together One Community. OTOC is a 31-year-old, broad-based organization made up of over 30 congregations and community organizations. We research solutions to problems to make Omaha and Nebraska a better place to live. Then we meet with election candidates to discuss our solutions and invite them to present their answers to voters at a Candidate Accountability Session.
OTOC has spent the past year preparing for the upcoming Candidate Accountability Session on September 20 and has invited a broad field of political candidates to ask them their positions on issues such as immigration and health care.
However, the event won’t be successful unless we show up! In 2024, over 400 voters attended, so we have a strong tradition to continue. Show up so candidates know “We the People” care and are paying attention!
