We have an opportunity to push the needle on helping Nebraskans with medical debt relief. The legislature has already passed a debt relief fund, but it sits idle right now.
Medical bills shouldn’t threaten our families’ financial stability or peace of mind, yet so many in our community are quietly carrying this heavy burden. Omaha Together One Community (OTOC) is holding a special meeting to discuss how we can organize for medical debt relief in Omaha.
If you or someone you know has been negatively affected by medical debt, your voice and experience are incredibly valuable. It is the real world impact on people, our stories, that matter. Come share your story and help us shape OTOC’s efforts to push for meaningful relief.
When: Tuesday, June 16th at 7 p.m.
Where: St. Pius X Catholic Church, Parish Center (6905 Blondo Street, Omaha, NE 68104), enter at either of the yellow dots on the attached map (this is shown on OTOC’s site via the registration link).
