“Sustainable agriculture is not just about growing crops, it’s about caring for the soil, the water, the air, and all the living things that depend on them.” – Vandana Shiva, environmental activist and food advocate. Food insecurity is increasing. According to the U.S.D.A. Economic Research Service, roughly 1 in 7 households in the U.S. experienced food insecurity in 2023.
With interactive discussions and activities, we will be looking at one of the dimensions of food security… Sustainability. What factors, perhaps hidden, contribute to these issues? This session will be facilitated by Marcia and Cy Leise. You can attend in person or Click here to join by Zoom.
