Randy Wells is a science teacher who does his best to bring a very human element into the subject matter and a cultural sensitivity to matters of science and religion in a high-religiosity school district. On August 9th, at 9 a.m. He will be giving a talk entitled “Science, Spirituality, and the Unending Bigness”. This talk will explore historical perspectives and friction points when it comes to science and the religious endeavor, as well as a personal perspective on how science and spirituality have interacted in a way that is personally fulfilling for Randy.

It is by no means a prerequisite, but interested parties may want to look at the works of Carl Sagan as they have greatly influenced Randy’s views on a humanistic and spiritually exhilarating experience of science. Sagan’s series Cosmos can be readily found on YouTube.
