The facilitators of the Open Arms Trans Social Group (OATS) would like to invite interested members and friends of Second Unitarian to become volunteers with our group. OATS is primarily made up of transgender and gender-nonbinary youth and young adults, along with some of their parents and siblings.

The group currently meets quarterly via Zoom. The next meetings will be Saturday, April 17 and Saturday, July 17, both meetings beginning at noon.

In non-pandemic times, we meet at the church. A few adult members and friends of our congregation volunteer to serve as accepting and supportive listeners during the meetings. If you are interested in this opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young people, there will be a training held on Zoom Saturday, May 15, 3-5 pm.
