One half of Second Unitarian’s offering received in May will go to Girls Inc.
Founded in 1975 as Girls Club, Girls Incorporated of Omaha is the place for girls age 5 through 18, inspiring all girls to be “strong, smart and bold.”
Girls Inc. has centers in North Omaha and South Omaha, with art rooms, computer labs, a library, a woodshop, a sports field, and a playground.
Girls Inc. serves hundreds of girls every day and 1,000+ girls annually. Girls participate in activities including sports, meditation, visual and performing arts, science, nutritious eating, public speaking, reading, and homework help.
