Are you ready to start waking up to the problem of Racism and White Supremacy?

Within our congregation and beyond?

The Second Unitarian Board of Trustees invites you to join them for a viewing and discussion of the Ware Lecture presented at the 2018 UUA General Assembly by Brittany Packnett, an educator, activist and voice leading the charge to change the dynamics of our society’s painful past and present.

Packnett’s stirring lecture is an eye-opening, challenging and important work in the direction of understanding how racism and white supremacy continue to pervade our lives. Following the viewing in the church sanctuary will be a discussion led by Rev. Cyndi Simpson.

We are asking those attending to consider bringing a snack to share. We hope to see you there for this important discussion that will begin our congregation’s anti-racism efforts!

“It is not enough just to not be a racist. We must expect ourselves and one another to be actively anti-racist.”
– Brittany Packnett, 2018 Ware lecturer
