On December 23rd, directly after our worship service our Giving Tree gifts were driven to the Refugee Empowerment Center of Omaha. Thank you Joan Benziger for volunteering to deliver them.

While the center placed only a conservative request, the 2U congregation showed up in multitude with gloves, blankets, socks, gift cards, bus passes, clothes, and some toys. The Religious Education program wishes to thank the congregation for their support of this social action project. We are grateful to belong to a caring community, but more importantly, this is just one more way that the refugees in our city know they are seen and remembered.
